Odawara Craft Beer Festival 2020
Craft beer in Odwara is taking off! An intimate craft beer festival featuring four breweries from the Odawara and Hakone areas was held in February 2020. Consider it a stepping stone to a future, larger event at Odawara-jo Park.
The Odawara Craft Beer Festival took place on Saturday and Sunday, February 1st and 2nd. The festival featured a large variety of products such as Hakone Pils and Ashigara Weizen from Hakone Beer. Also in attendance were Garapago Racing from Kaiseimachi, and Gora Brewery from Gora in Hakone.
Entry cost 2,000 yen and included a book of five beer tickets. Single tickets were also available. Small bites such as kamaboko were served with the beer. Both locals and tourists seemed to enjoy tasting local craft beer in a cozy atmosphere.
Although the future schedule of the craft beer festival at Odawara-jo Park is still undecided, there is no doubt that Odawara craft beer is getting more attention than ever.
